Guide: Brainstorming with a Cause & Effect Diagram
Also known as a Fishbone or Ishikawa diagram, this tool helps categorize the potential causes of a complex problem, making it ideal for team brainstorming.
How to Use:

1. AI Assistant: Describe the problem and some potential causes. The AI will attempt to categorize them and build the diagram for you. Click 'Generate Diagram' and save when prompted.

2. Standard Setup: Manually enter the main problem in the 'Diagram Title / Effect' field. This forms the 'head' of the fish.

3. Add Categories: Add the main 'bones' of the diagram (e.g., People, Process, Technology).

4. Add Causes: Under each category, add the specific potential causes that your team has brainstormed.

5. Export to PDF: Once your diagram is ready, use the 'Export as PDF' button to generate a professional, high-quality PDF document for sharing or printing.

6. Export to Word: Pro and AI Pro members can also use the 'Export as Word' button to get a text-based version of the diagram for easy inclusion in reports.
Now that you know how it works, head to the dashboard to start building your own diagrams.
